Font - leave_no_tracy 2 years ago Three days after giving birth I decided to take a walk with my baby. Went down hill to a park and everything was fine. On the way back I just couldn't walk up the hill. Tried several times before calling an Uber to drive me five hundred feet to my house. 55 Give Award Share Report Save

Font - honeycitrusmint 2 years ago I was laboring at home for a while and rocking on a rocking chair in my bedroom to help my back. My mom came over to check on me and decided this would be a perfect time to remove and iron the drapes. Apparently, even though I was in labor, she couldn't handle looking at wrinkles in the drapes. I have a picture of her standing on the bed trying to remove them. Also for both mine and my sisters deliveries, our older brother was so nervous the nurses always thoug

Font - seeseecinnamon 2 years ago I have another one that isn't my story but was told to me. This woman goes into labour and drives to the hospital with her husband. She suddenly has the baby in the doorway of the hospital. Fast forward to 2 years later and she's pregnant and in labour and her husband takes her to the hospital and she's very close to delivering. She's in the elevator in the hospital and she had the baby. The nurse says, "Don't worry. This happens. A woman had a baby in the doorw

Font - customerservicevoice 2 years ago My mom delivered me alone with just one nurse - no doctor. She tried to tell the nurse it was time, but it was such a quick period of time no one believed her. The labour lasted 30 minutes so there was no time for an epidermal or medication of any kind. The nurse was scared shitless and my mom did most of it alone while this nurse screamed for help, but she said it was so quick and relatively painless that it was awesome. I apparently slept through the nig

Rectangle - searedscallops 2 years ago When I had my daughter, my son was 5. When I was in the hospital, post-partum, snoozing with my baby, he wanted mama, so he climbed up in the hospital bed with us to "nap". He also kept eating my food, so I just started ordering extra for him because I was hungry, dangit! 1 17 Give Award Share Report Save

Font - Godamn_Bandersnatch 2 years ago My dad and mom decided when i was 10 and my brother was 7 that they couldn't afford more kids so my dad had a vasectomy. BUT my dad, being the sweet awkward teddy bear of a guy, escaped his next check up after the procedure. He was sent into a room by himself with a dirty mag to make sure he was shooting blanks. He got really uncomfortable, peeked out the door of the room, and ran like hell when the coast was clear. 9 months later at 21 inches and 9lbs and

Font - ClemWeasley 2 years ago My baby is 3 months old and has been sleeping through the night (6-8 hour stretches) since she was 3 weeks old! She's the happiest baby I've ever met. Nurses like a champ. Sometimes I feel irrational mom-guilt because I have it so easy, but seriously she is amazing. 10 Give Award Share Report Save

Font - seeseecinnamon 2 years ago I went into the hospital to be induced and from the moment I walked in I told them I wanted all the drugs they could give me. After 3 days of inducing, we decided to break my water and then everything happened really fast. I was begging for an epidural but the anaesthesiologist was in a surgery so couldn't come. I told the nurses that if they could get the Dr to come, then I'd name my daughter after them. Then I asked what their name was. It was a very masculine

Font - Aviere 2 years ago The hospital/labor/birth experience with my 1st was absolutely awful. My recovery (not c sect.) was at least 8 weeks, my damn V hurt forever! But for my 2nd we were at a totally different hospital with a brand new OB department. I literally told the nurse I felt like I was at the Taj Mahal, and it made me and my (now ex) so much more relaxed. They couldn't believe how calm we were, and baby came out with no trouble, no tearing, and recovery was 10x better. Apparently th

Font - talibob 2 years ago It's my mom's story not mine. When I was born, my mom experienced extreme nausea. Two years later, when she was in labor with my brother, she turned to my grandma and said, "I'm going to throw up." Grandma told the nurse to go get the doctor, the baby is coming. The nurse pish poshed on that idea. "We just checked her. She's nowhere near ready for the doctor yet." "Check again." The nurse rolled her eyes and checked Mom again. "DOCTOR! THE BABY IS CROWNING!" The doctor
